MARAIS CHIC heart of Paris

Points positifs : Appartement très douillet et calme ,décoré avec goût, literie confortable. Belle situation dans le Marais a 50m du Métro.

A great place for one person. Not quite so good for a couple.

Points positifs : The apartment is in a great location in the Marais. This is fabulous area to stay with many restaurants and bars, great shops and a great vibe. It is also has great access to the Metro and is close to the likes of Notre Dame and the Louvre. Cédric our host was a great communicator and was always available for any questions. The kitchen is well equipped and with a number of Boulangerie’s close by breakfast was easy and cheap.

Points négatifs : The apartment is very small and while this is common in Paris this was impacted also by the sloping ceilings. The bathroom was tiny and the bedroom also small and getting into the small double bed on one side was an obstacle course dodging the ceiling. The apartment is on the 5th floor without a lift, this was not prominent on the website. Accessing the apartment, especially with luggage was a struggle for us as 70 year olds. The hot waters service was small so you had to be careful showering to leave hot water for the second person. The apartment is the hosts home so there are lots of locked cupboards and not a great deal of cupboard space for us. Again this was not obvious on the website.

Points positifs : Beautiful little French apartment, in a fantastic location, close to Paris lifestyle, restaurants, partiseries and train stations. We loved it! Thanks Cèdric!

Points positifs : We were very happy with the accommodation ..we couldn’t have wished for anything better for our first stay in Paris. A beautifully decorated Parisian apartment, a very warm and well-organized host truly 10 out of 10. I can only recommend it to everyone! When we come back to Paris, we will definitely stay there again. The location, in the Le Marais district, was also the best thing that could have happened to us. The neighborhood itself was by far the most beautiful part of Paris for us. We’ll be back!! thank you!

A convenient and comfortable stay in the marais

Points positifs : Perfectly positioned in the marais, easy to access key sites. The bed and bathroom were very comfortable and it was convenient to cook. Cédric was also very welcoming and responsive.

Points négatifs : If you are unfit the 5th floor walk up, may be a challenge with heavy bags, though the requirement is clear in the listing and it adds to the charm.

Beautiful, cosy apartment in a great Parisian location close to absolutely everything

Points positifs : An absolute gem of an apartment in the perfect Paris location. Beautifully furnished, quiet and with all the mod cons - you will feel like a true local staying here. Cedric, the host, is beyond helpful and he provides you with lots of tips for grocery shopping and his favourite eating spots. We would be out walking and sightseeing all day, and this was the perfect spot to retreat to at the end of a long day to cook dinner and enjoy a glass of wine (Cedric provided a free bottle!). Bakery next door so you can get fresh croissants for brekky and take them back upstairs, and there's 2 supermarkets within 2 mins walk.

Points négatifs : There was only one thing I could fault - I couldn't find any sharp knives and the bread knife was a bit dodgy. And if you're not good with stairs - don't even consider this place. I love stairs for exercise but apartment is 5 flights up and there's no lift.

Points positifs : I liked everything about my stay at Cedric's beautiful flat! Cedric, the host, was very welcoming and ready to make us feel welcome and good at his flat. The flat is spacious and beautifully decorated. Centre Pompidou at the corner of the street, excellent location with a metro close by, museums, shops and restaurants, bustling life. I highly recommend and hope to stay there again one day.

great apartment in a great location

Points positifs : Everything was fantastic! Cederic is the perfect host. He took care of every detail during our stay. The location is great. Close to all attractions and at the same time very quiet. Thank you for the wine and very good coffee!

Points négatifs : the apartment is on the 5th floor without an elevator, so it may be a problem for people with disabilities. For us, after eating all this, it was beneficial 😊

A lovely piece of authentic Paris, which we would thoroughly recommend.

Points positifs : It was fantastic that the host met us to hand over the keys. He was very accommodating as we arrived in Paris at around 10.30am and we were able to leave our luggage at 11.15am, well ahead of normal check-in at 3pm. This made the experience super special. When we arrived, the host also helped us with one suitcase up to the 5th floor apartment, which was a big help. The apartment had everything we needed for 3 nights. It was lovely to have a coffee machine, the furnishing was good, the apartment was spotlessly clean. The kitchen facilities were all that we needed and more. It was great to have a separate dining table and chairs. The lounge sofa was comfortable, access to a good TV and free wi-fi. It was much better for us to stay in a comfortable apartment, when we could come and go as we pleased, rather than a hotel. The location of the apartment is superb, close to a Metro station, an easy walk to the Seine River, lots of shops & amenities close by, but no noise!

Points négatifs : We're used to a king size bed at home, so the bed was cosy, although we appreciate we can't make the bedroom bigger just for us! The room was comfy and very quiet. On the top floor, no-one disturbs you at all, so this was a real bonus.
